St. Xavier's Merit Scholarship
St. Xavier's Merit Scholarship Exam-2026 will be held on 28-03-2026 at
St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering
(Spot Registration is available - Bring a valid ID proof).
Since 2017, St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering has been extending St. Xavier’s Merit Scholarship to eligible students.
Availing this scholarship is a rare and wonderful opportunity to pursue engineering education at St. Xavier’s.
About the Exam
An eligibility test (St. Xavier’s Merit Scholarship Exam - SXMSE) is conducted every year to select candidates eligible for the scholarship,
among those who seek admission for B.E. / B.Tech. in St. Xavier's.
Score Calculation
The scholarship is awarded based on the following formula:
SCORE = 75% of Cut-Off Marks + 25% of SXMSE Score

INSTRUCTIONS TO EXAMINATION CANDIDATES
General Instructions

Scholarship Exam will be conducted on 28.03.2026 (Saturday). Examination will be on
Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Time: 9.30 am to 11.00 am in the college premises.

Candidates should bring their Original ID Proof (School ID / ID issued by government) on
the day of examination.

Candidates are asked to report at the examination hall half-an-hour before the commencement
of examination.

Candidates should sign in the attendance sheet available with the registration desk.

Duration of exam is 90 minutes and consists of 50 objective type questions.

Each objective type question carries 2 marks.

Questions will be from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English of Higher Secondary
syllabus.

Only pen and ID proof will be allowed inside the examination hall.
Candidates found with
electronic gadgets/storage devices [Cell Phones, Bluetooth, Headphones, Headsets,
Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Cameras, pagers, Microphones, Health bands], programmable
calculators, books, notes, incriminating materials (whether used or not) like written / printed
materials, bits of paper containing written information, writings on pencil box, scale, eraser,
calculator, kerchief, dress, part of body etc., And items like Goggles, Handbags, Caps, Wallets,
Plastic Pouch, Writing Pad, Pen Drive, Log Table, Electronic Pen are strictly prohibited inside
the Examination Hall.

Candidates are asked to follow decent dress code.

Candidates will be permitted to leave the examination hall only at the end of the examination.

Candidates are required to listen carefully to instructions given by the invigilators and comply
with the instructions at all times.

All the students are supposed to maintain high standard of discipline in the Examination Hall.
